Immigration Guide & Documents

The process of entering Canada is very simple these days.  As long as you're able to enter Canada legally, MRG will provide you the additional documentation for your entry into Canada and no formal work visa is required in the majority of cases.

A couple notes do apply:

• All travelers require passports.
• Depending on the amount of equipment that you are bringing into Canada, you may require an ATA carnet or your trucking company may arrange for brokerage services. MRG can connect you with customs brokers if needed (at your cost).
• If you need a visitor visa to enter Canada, you STILL need a visitor visa to enter Canada. MRG does not provide visitor visa services but can provide documentation or resources to assist with the process. More info from the government of Canada here.
• If you are flying into Canada, you may need an eTA prior to checking into your flight. Click here for more information.
• If you have a criminal record (regardless of crime including some misdemeanors such as DUI or time since the offense) you may be prevented from entering Canada. MRG can connect you with an attorney to discuss your situation (at your cost).

The steps are as follows:

1. Complete the manifest form below and send it to your promoter rep.
2. You will the receive back an "invitation letter" along with a PDF of the manifest. Keep these handy!
3. Your manifest will be sent to your point on entry.  To note, not all points of entry are great at receiving and keeping documentation so...
4. Make sure you have a printed copy of the letter, the manifest and your performance agreements (face page) for all Canadian shows when you enter the country.
5. Welcome to Canada!

Please fill out the required fields in the attached template. Please note that information is required for the entire traveling party. If you have multiple buses, please add new tabs for each bus.

If you are traveling by air, please be sure to include flights details when sending in your form (for each person / party if on different flights).
